Slim and I have been friends for a over 40 l years. I met him playing music in a group. He really enjoyed playing the trombone and his favorite, "The Bass." We talked regularly on the phone and kept in close contact. I'm really going to miss my friend. He fought a good battle with his known illness that really took a toll on his health. Rest in peace, my friend. I know God has a special place for you in his band. Much Love, Jackie
