Jeffrey Mills

Jeffrey Mills, Sr., son of Dr. Rev. Robert and Mary Mills, was born June 1, 1964. He departed this earthly life on December 10, 2014 at Christ Hospital.
He graduated from Princeton High School in 1983. He studied Culinary Arts, specializing in bakery.
He accepted Christ at the early age of seven at the Ebenezer 2nd Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jack Zellars. He moved his membership to New Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of his father. In 1985, he was in the organizing of the True Unity Baptist Church, where he was appointed Trustee and Van Driver. His favorite was driving the church van. The church mem- bers always knew they were in for a joyous ride home. He would always quote, “The Lord is my Shepherd” (Psalms 23).
He had a very infectious personality — he knew no stranger. He was the father, brother, uncle and cousin everybody loved. He was the protector of his family. In his early crazy days, he would entertain the Village of Lincoln Heights with his high speed car chases.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his parents, Robert and Mary; one son, Jeffrey Jr.; two grandchildren, Ja’myia and Katana; three brothers, Anthony (Debra), Darren (Cynthia) and Melvin; three sisters, Eunice (Nathaniel), Diahanna and Trudy (Richard); two aunts, Rudena Williams and Catherine Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
