To the family of Jocelyn Chandler, on God's dinning table sits a vase of beautiful flowers. While admiring His creation and with careful consideration, more beauty was needed. He plucked Jocelyn from this earthly garden. Jocelyn now joins others in that vase of beautiful flowers gracing God with her beauty and doing what she loves to do "Praising God." I remember your beautiful smile and your warm personality as we sang in the choir at Union here in St. Louis. Jocelyn always had a kind word for everyone she's truly a gem. May God continue to bless your love ones with love, peace and strength. Patricia Dilworth, Saint Louis, Mo.

To the family of Jocelyn Chandler, God's blessings, peace and love. The Beaumont Class of '73 cherish the memories of our beloved classmate. We thank God for you being apart of our class and a part of our lives. I have always admired Jocelyn and Daphanye from the very first time I met them at Fairgrounds Park. Two beautiful sisters, I loved their style, their kindness and their relationship with one another! May God continue to bless your legacy. I believe we are cousins somewhere down the line in the "Hayes" lineage, but for sure we are sisters in Christ. Gilda (Hayes) Latham

Words are inadequate when I think about the good times I will miss from your laughter. More than being my pastor's wife, you were a kind and loving human being. Your faith and commitment to the Lord will stand as a wonderful testimony for all to emulate. In the face of the unknown , you reminded us that God is always in control. God has definitely added a beautiful rose to his garden. "Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to so, will return with sings of joy, carrying sheaves with him." Psalm 126:5-6 Love, peace and joy to the Chandler family from Vandelia Todd and Ernestine Swinton

I am usually not speechless as you know Joselyn dear, but this time.......... My dear Joselyn, this time. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." (James 1:17) That you were, every good and perfect gift to us all. I shall miss you terribly and think of you often and treasure the times we had and the great lessons of life and living that you gave me; that you gave to us all. You have no idea the impact your life has had on me on my senior life journey. In knowing you, I feel and felt that my cup runneth over. I promise to carry on your contagious smile. The same one that would light up a room the minute you walked in. I promise to laugh and never take myself to seriously. I promise to love .......... and I promise to let my light shine as you would have desired for all of us, as you did. I thank God for leading me to you and your husband, our Pastor and our church family of World Outreach Christian Church. I am just so thankful although my heart is so heavy. I know it is good now as your are resting in the bosom of Jesus, the Christ. With all my love and most sincerely, Sylvia Elaine Jones, your student, your friend and your church clerk. Sylvia Elaine Jones (and family, especially my grandson, Avery Simpson).

What a blessing it is to have been a big brother to one of the Lord's trophies. My dear sister is one who would bring joy to everyone she met. I will always remember how I would tell her and she would tell me how blessed we were; because everyone would say we looked like twins. I thank God for all of the fun times we had growing up as children of Mack and Thelma Hayes and the marvelous times we had/have as children of our Lord and Savior. She won her race, has received her prize and is now forever praising our Heavenly Father. I miss you, love you and am so proud of the life you lived. What a wonderful legacy you are!

I don't even know where to start. Joselyn was always the "grounded" sister. The dependable one, the tough one with the gentle, quiet, loving spirit. She always had that connection to the Lord and I always loved, admired and respected that about her. She was the glue that bonded the siblings together. Even though she was in Cincinnati, she always loved coming back to St. Louis to be with her family. She was so strong, and I know the Lord is saying to her "Well done, thou faithful Servant" She has fought the good fight and is now celebrating with the Lord and basking in His Glory. I will miss your physical presence, but will love your forever until we meet again. Oh how I am looking forward to our family reunion at the marriage supper where we shall be united with our Groom, the Lord Jesus. I can just see you soaring into the Lord's presence... Fly my butterfly. I thank God for blessing me to be a part of your life. Love, from your "Baby" Sis.

I will always remember the fun I had with my sister growing up in St. Louis. We did everything together. We called ourselves "Champion Girls" and it's a wonder we survived some of the things we tried, including jumping off buildings. Since she was 15 months older, she could talk me into doing anything, or else I was not a Champion Girl. We were both tomboys but I could not beat her at anything. She was always a little stronger and faster than me, but that did not matter. I just wanted to be like her even if I was always just a step behind. She will forever be a Champion Girl to me. Even in death, you took the lead to show me how to face death with amazing faith, strength, and courage. I miss you already and will always love you. Your Little Sister - Daphyne
