Myzell Wakefield, affectionately known as “Bell”, was born on October 3, 2008 to Shalita Chess and Michael Wakefield, Jr. He departed this life on December 17, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Antonio Wakefield, Sr.; great-grandfathers, James Marvin Smith and Robert Tapplar, Sr.; and great-grandmothers, Fannymae Wakefield and Myrtle Tapplar.
Myzell was a very active and talkative child, silly and playful. He enjoyed playing with cars, especially hot wheels. He attended Phoenix Community Learning Center School where he thrived receiving various academic as well as citizenship awards. Myzell loved spending time with his siblings, Mikey and Malaya, as well as his parents and grandfather, Timothy Chess. His favorite colors were blue, green and yellow.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted mother, Shalita Chess; devoted father, Michael Wakefield, Jr.; sister, Malaya Wakefield; brother, Michael Wakefield III; grandparents, Pamela Harris (Tommy), Jane Chess and Timothy Chess, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; great-grand- parents, Maryetta Blannon (Ronald), Warlean Smith and Shirley Rone, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; five aunts, Latonya Smith, Lashonda Chess, Tylina Chess, Diamond Wake- field and Alexus Gaines, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; two uncles, David Wakefield (Alisha) and Timothy Chess, Jr., both of Cincinnati, Ohio; 11 great aunts and four great uncles; and a host of cousins and friends.
