O’real Miller was born on April 29, 1916, in
Douglasville, Georgia. She was one of eleven
children to the blessed union of Marion Miller
and Margaret McCoy, who preceded her in death.
She departed this life on Sunday, August 23,
2015.
She was a retired employee of the United States
Postal Service.
O’real Miller was a church member of Southern
Baptist Church for better than 20 years.
She enjoyed family and friends very much. She
had a saying when introducing herself, “I’m
O’real Miller and I’m for real.” She is the last of
Miller first beginning. Her siblings are: Carrie,
Vera, Ossie, Hopest, Milton, Melvin, Alvin Jr.
and Lias, all of whom preceded her in death. She
was the family’s pride and joy. She will be
missed and cherished forever.
She was preceded in death by her daughter,
Arivinia Freeland.
O’real is survived by: two daughters, Geraldine
Keith and Rocelle McCollough; and a host of
nieces and nephews, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren,
and other family members. Special
