Robert Lee Golsby, Sr. was born to the late Jesse Lee Golsby and Rosa Lee Worthy Golsby on January 21, 1940 in Covington, Kentucky.
He accepted Christ at St. James A.M.E. Church under Rev. Andrew White as a young child.
He attended Lincoln Grant High School.
Robert loved to listen to music and he had a nice little collection of CD’s and he also loved to work on model cars.
Robert had several jobs throughout his life, but his last job was with Gidding-Jenny Department Store where he retired from as a maintenance tech.
He was preceded in death by James Worthy, Eugene Golsby and Geraldine Golsby Chambers.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his child- ren, Carmen (Jerry) Hinkston, Rose Golsby, Robert Golsby, Jr., Velma Golsby, Eugene Golsby and Joe Johnson; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Powell, Jesse Golsby, Edith (Melvin) Norman and Connie (Mike) Huddleston; two brothers, Andrew Golsby and Dale Golsby; and a host of other relatives and friends.
