Twana Doncellia Calhoun-Smith was born on October 24, 1953 to John Sr. and Josephine Calhoun in Middletown, Ohio. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the age of 61.
Twana graduated from Middletown High School in 1972. She worked 25 years for Middle-town Regional Hospital as a Dietician and held that same job for many years for Abilities First Foundation here in Middletown, Ohio. She was one of the founding members of the Mahogany Club, where she enjoyed fellowshipping with her “sisters”. Twana was a faithful member of Tried Stone Baptist Church where she served proudly as a Missionary and on the Usher Board where she always greeted you with a smile and a hug for everyone that entered the sanctuary.
In her time of need, Twana was well cared for by her youngest daughter, Kelicia, and when she became extremely ill, her sister, Jenny was there to love and care for her daily.
Twana has given us many wonderful memo-ries. She will be greatly missed. She was pre-ceded in death by her father, John Sr. and her brother, John Calhoun, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her many memories: two daughters, Kelicia Moore and Piper Moore; her devoted and loving mother, Josephine Calhoun; two grandsons, Jacques and A.J.; two granddaughters, Jontiel and Kahlil; two sisters, Darlene Calhoun and Jenny Southall; three brothers, Jerry Calhoun (Thomasetta), Tony “Buster” Calhoun and Bruce Calhoun (Bernice); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
