Willetta “Billie” Zellars (nee Olverson) was the second child born to the union of the late George E. Sr. and Zana Mae Olverson on November 14, 1927 in Glendale, Ohio. Billie was baptized at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church as a child. She was preceded in death by siblings, Edith Heisel, Flemming Morton, George Olverson, Jr. and John Olverson. On Wednesday, December 10, 2014, she entered into eternal rest.
Billie attended schools in Glendale. She was a homemaker and later devoted her life to nurturing children through her childcare service in her home. She was a long time resident of Lockland, Ohio. On December 9, 1974, she married the late Chester Zellars.
She was an active member of Unity Christian Church under the pastorate of Reverend Walter Wilson where she attended faithfully until her health failed her. She enjoyed serving Communion and loved to hear the choir sing. She appreciated the care and love afforded to her from her church, especially bonding with Harold and Malena Thomas.
The legacy that Billie leaves will forever live in the hearts of her family. To cherish her memory, she leaves: her children, Carol L. Patton, Janice J. (Rodney) Peterson, Edward L. (Carol) Patton, Jr., Vanessa K. Patton, Gregory A. (Kim) Patton, Allison L. (Jerome) Patton-Matthews and Sharon Zellars-Lawson; two brothers, William B. (Mary) Olverson of Cincinnati, Ohio and Arthur L. (Jane) Olverson of Colum- bus, Ohio; two sisters, Lois ―Jean‖ Green of Cincinnati, Ohio and Joan Thompson of Baltimore, Maryland; sister-in-law, Rita J. (John) Olverson of Chesapeake, Virginia; 25 grand- children, 60 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grand- children; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
