Dr James W Wilcox left a message on February 24, 2021:
I am just finding out about the death of Dr. Heath. I am very sad that he is no longer with us, but I know God is saying, "Well done thy good and faithful servant." Dr. Heath is the reason that I graduated from United Theological Seminary. I did not want to do a doctoral degree program, but Dr. Heath said, "Young man ( in his soft, yet serious voice) you need to do this." Going to U.T.S. was one of the most enlightening events that I had in Ohio, and it is all because of this man insisting that I go to seminary. He even served on my dissertation committee. He was with me through the whole process. I am praying for Sister Mildred and the entire family.
Richard Walker, III left a message on August 7, 2020:
It was with deep sadness that i learned of the passing of Rev. Dr. Frederick Heath. Dr. Heath with his wise patient counsel was instrumental in my spiritual journey as I met him at a key turning point in my life. He continued to be a mentor and unfailing source of encouragement through the years. His vision for a passionate, spirit filled church committed to mission and ministry to the most underserved and least powerful in our communities inspired me and many others. His wonderful wife Mildred, quite the spiritual warrior herself, and his family will remain in my prayers as they mourn his loss. However, we know and celebrate the fact that his legacy lives on through the many lives he helped and the numerous good works he began. Joy comes in the morning. Grace and Peace, Richard Walker, III
Myron M. Kottke left a message on July 25, 2020:
The Reverend Dr. Frederick Heath became my Conference Superintendent the same year I retired, 1988, and it was that same year that Dr.Heath encouraged me become the interim Pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in Gibsonburg, .Ohio . Dr. Heath's continued friendship and wise counsel encouraged me to continue doing ministry as an. associate pastor and interim pastor from age 63 until my last position as interim Pastor at age 90. It was a real joy to do all of these positions which were all United Methodist with the exception of two which were Presbyterian.. Anyhow I have always sensed the prayers and support of Dr. Heath who started me in this direction. I also remember the good leadership of Mildred Oglesby in our Toledo District and I recall how happy I was when I learned that Mildred and Dr. Heath decided to share their lives together. Now I continue to remember Mrs..Heath in my prayers and will always be grateful for the ways in which both Dr.and Mrs.Heath have blessed me and my late wife, Doris, with many happy memories of your influence, THANK YOU! With Love, Pastor Myron M. Kottke

Rev. Dr. Fred Heath, A.K.A "Servant Heath", A man of excellence. He was smart, loving, kind, witty and so very giving of himself (time, money & talents). He never complained. He was a Great Friend to me. He was wise and I learned so much from him over the years. My only regret is that I didn't meet him sooner to experience more of his Greatness! My Great Friend, I truly miss you already. Well Done Servant, Take your Rest!

To Mildred and the family, I fondly recall working with Fred in Madisonville and as we worked on the Methodist Heritage Campaign that drew 5000 to Riverfront Arena on a Palm Sunday. I was honored to aid in conferring his Doctorate. We worked to establish the Madisonville Educational (then Emergency) Center. We oversaw Madison Villa among other projects. He was a friend and fellow worker in the vineyard. He will be missed. Rev. Dr. R. Gwinn Lacy

Mildred and family, I first got to know Fred through a prayer he gave at a meeting we attended together. It was sincere and full of God’ Spirit. He then became my superintendent on the Toledo District and appointed me to my last Church. It was there that I got to know Mildred and was very happy when they joined together. Please accept my sympathy and prayers for each day ahead. Sincerely, Gary Boucher
