The only child born from the union of Jennie Griffie of Roy Nowell was their one and only daughter “Gwendolyn Nowell.” Born on February 6, 1944, she preferred to be called Gwen. Gwen was a student at Central Vocational High School.
Gwen retired from Maple Knoll Village in Springdale, Ohio, where she worked as a Resident Assistant, after 30 years of service.
She was extremely outgoing and created her own language with her eye expressions that we all loved and will certainly miss.
As far as being a connoisseur of good things to eat, it came naturally for Gwen. Her father relocated from the State of Georgia, to Cincinnati and brought his outstanding barbequing and sauce making skills with him to open a restaurant. In addition to that, Gwen’s mother was nicked name “Sweetie” as a result of her famous recipes. Gwen often referred to the women in her Family Tree and being large people naturally.
Gwen leaves to cherish her memories, many devoted cousins and friends and a host of others both far and near.
An environmentally friendly option.
