I remember Joe as a very nice, soft spoken, handsome and friendly person. We were neighbors and his family lived right beside my grandmothers house. Although it has been many years since I saw him I remember him well and know that his family must have many wonderful memories about him. My deepest sympathy goes out to them. TYou are in my prayers!

Wanda Michaux left a message on July 26, 2019:
I am so glad that I was able to come and see Uncle Joe for my Birthday a few months ago,and share a few laughs and talk about North Carolina, Statesville and Lenoir. He wanted to come back to North Carolina and visit home.I will always remember that visit, our last conversation when you called me on the 4th of July. You will be greatly missed, you were and have always been like a second Father to me,even though you were my Uncle.Always there for advice, and encouragement, which I will miss Uncle Joe was awesome, loving ,caring, and it showed how much he loved his Family, especially Aunt Ann. One should hope that they live to share that kind of bond and love that they had, priceless .No more anguish and pain.We have definitely lost a great Patriarch ,and it will take a hell of a man,to fill your shoes in your absence.I loved him dearly and will continue to be there for Aunt Ann,Angela ,Dale,Angelique and Chelsea .May you rest in peace with your Mother, and sisters in paradise. Missing You,Your Niece,Wanda Michaux
