Mable Pittard was born on November 14, 1927 in Slab Town, South Carolina to the union of the late Carodine and Pernella Austin. She transitioned from this life on November 15, 2018. In 1946, Mable was joined in holy matrimony to the late Alvin Lee Pittard. They were married for 59 years until his death in 2005.
Mable gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful, lifelong member of Fifth Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She served as a member of The Voices of Fifth Choir and the Devine Crusaders Ministry. Mable was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her precious family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She always taught her children the difference between right and wrong. Educating her children was a high priority in her life.
She was preceded in death by her son; Kevin Pittard and Siblings; John Austin and Beverly Austin. Mable leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Yvonne Rodgers, Bonita (Larry) Spaulding, Ronald Pittard, Tracy (Aaron) Porter, grandchildren; Eric (Miska) Spaulding, Tonya Carter, Raven Johnson, Leah (Naomi) Pittard, Branden Rodgers, Dara (Jonathon) Lucas, Kevin Pittard, Aaron Porter II and Darian Porter, 14 great-grandchildren, sisters; Laverne Davies and Denise Marshall, brother-in-law; Alphonso Pittard and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mable will always be remembered with much love and admiration.
