JoAnne Tipper was born July 10, 1937 to the late Thomas and Della Tipper. JoAnne went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2015.
JoAnne is proceeded in death by her parents, her stepmother Laura Tipper, her son Michael Tipper, and her siblings Jerry Tipper(Ruthie) and Bonita Lovette(Reggie).
JoAnne gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where her father Thomas R. Tipper was the pastor, And she served a a youth usher. She graduated from Withrow High School class of 1954. JoAnne served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1957 where she worked as a record keeper. She later obtained a position with the IRS as a Tax Examiner and quickly excelled into the position of a Divisional Manager. She later retired after a 37 year career with the IRS.
JoAnne was an avid supporter of several charities within her community. In her early years she enjoyed singing in church choirs regardless of where she lived Ohio or Tennessee. She also enjoyed playing cards, Bid Whist was her favorite. Going to casino’s was another of her favorite things to do. JoAnne also loved to travel and take cruises, The trip to Jamaica with her mother was one of her fondest memories.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved grandchildren Michael Tipper, Jr., Courtney Tipper, Sean Tipper; her siblings Thomas Tipper (Barbara), Regina Tipper, Karen “Missy” Dowell; her aunt Romona Bush; and a host of nieces and nephews along with many dear friends and family that she held close to her heart.
