Wylodine “Dee Dee” Peak was born January 13, 1951 in Covington, Kentucky to the late Frederick Sr and Bessie Sanders. She was the 9th of 10 th children born to her parents: Dora Ann Johnson, Delores Fagan, Barbara Ann Bronston, Frederick Sanders, Jr., Edith Peak, Lorene Blackwell, Michael Sanders, Carol Davis and Mary Walton. She departed this life September 17, 2018 at Hospice of Cincinnati at 5:15 pm. Dee Dee was baptized at an early age at Our Savior Catholic Church in Covington, KY, where she found the Lord. She then joined Holy Name Catholic Church and later united with the Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
Dee Dee, graduated from Courter Tech High School in 1970 and received her degree in 1974 as an LPN. On May 12, 1975 she married Kenneth Peak, Sr. and three children were born Kimberly, Nichole and Dwayne. Now Dee Dee’s family has grown. She has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Her career as a nurse lasted over 30+ years. She was employed with Jewish Hospital, Queens Gate Correctional Institution and Lincoln Crawford Nursing Home. Dee Dee was a pillar of her family. She always preached importance of love and family. She always encourages others to pursue a career in health care field. Once she retired she enjoyed spending her free time with family and working at Kim’s Kiddie Kare.
Dee Dee, enjoyed family gatherings: dinner every Sunday, a variety of entertainment types, including gambling and visiting casinos, traveling and watching soap operas which she called her “Babysitter”. In her final days she frequently sat on her front porch as a “people watcher”. It was great importance that everyone had pictures of special moments with her.
Preceding her in death was, parents Fredrick Sr. and Bessie Sanders, five sisters, Dora Ann Johnson, Barbara Ann Bronston, Delores Fagan, Edith Peak and Lorene Blackwell and two brothers, Fredrick Jr. and Michael Sanders.
Dee Dee leaves to cherish her Husband, Kenneth Sr.; three children: Kimberly Bush (Donald Jr.), Nichole Sanders and Dwayne Peak (Markella); seven grandchildren: Brayana (Alan), Donald III., Curtis III., Brandon, Alexus, Breasia and Mariah, three great-grandchildren: Jayden, Alyn and Braylan, two sisters: Carol Davis (Richard), and Mary Walton, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sister-in-laws: Paulette Sanders of Champaign, IL and Gretchel Sanders of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one uncle: Elder Charles Owens of Los Angeles, California. A host of other family and friends.
