Deborah J Hazeley was born on August 17, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Deborah graduated from Our Lady of Angels in 1969. Following high school, Deborah studied Business Administration at Xavier University. She entered the workforce starting at American Book Company before transitioning to University Hospital in 1987. During this time, Deborah pursued continuing education credits at University of Cincinnati in addition to cultivating a 32-year career at University Hospital as a Manager.
Deborah selflessly devoted her life to helping those around her. A few of her volunteer acts included being an ambassador for University Health Medical Center, participating as a volunteer for the Mini Heart Marathon and working with Rooms That Rock for Chemotherapy patients. Deborah also volunteered her time to countless external organizations including the Cincinnati Black Family Reunion, Closing the Health Care Gap, the Explorer Program, and the NAACP. Her personal interests included education, politics and literature.
Deborah will be dearly missed and is survived by her son Damian; granddaughter Drew; siblings Mandell Hazeley and Rodney (Carol) Hazeley; nephews Hasani and Manu Hazeley; nieces Aisha Hazeley, Carin Hazeley, and Sharde Hazeley-Strong and many other family members and friends. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Harriet Hazeley.
